Nothing says fall in North Carolina like the NC State Fair! Enjoy exciting rides, live music, livestock shows, and every fair food imaginable — from funnel cakes to roasted corn and turkey legs. Don’t miss the Carolina Cooker Bluegrass Stage or the Kids’ Fun Zone with farm animals and games.

The Witch’s Haunted Barn & Pumpkin Patch

📍 Firefly Farm — 4911 Hunt Rd, Hillsborough, NC

🗓 Saturdays in October (4, 11, 18, 25) from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM (gate opens at 11 AM)

🎟 Admission: $12 per person, children 2 & under free

🎃 What to expect: A whimsical haunted barn (not too scary!), pumpkins, vendors, farm animal visits, pond & pasture walks, a labyrinth, and costume photo ops all over the farm.

Bonus: No-actor Fridays (less scary version) run selected Fridays October 10, 18, 24, 31 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
